SCULPTURE FOR CLYDE

Sculpture for Clyde returns!

30th May – 7th June 2026
After the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 event, Sculpture for Clyde returns in 2026 – bigger, bolder and better than ever.

The nine-day festival is a free public event held along the picturesque Clyde River foreshore and features original sculptures from artists across Australia and overseas.
Indoor and outdoor exhibitions sit alongside a popular student sculpture showcase, with the event welcoming professional, emerging and novice artists alike.
A number of prizes are awarded, and visitors also have the opportunity to purchase artworks directly from the exhibition.
Beyond the festival itself, Sculpture for Clyde leaves a lasting legacy through the nearby Batemans Bay Sculpture Walk – a permanent public art gallery that can be enjoyed every day of the year.
Each year, the festival’s Acquisitive Award winner is installed along the walk, gradually building a remarkable outdoor collection for locals and visitors to enjoy.
The newest addition is ‘Knowing’ by Jen Mallinson.
More than a striking sculpture, Knowing invites viewers to reflect on the wisdom inscribed within it, offering moments of curiosity and contemplation as we navigate the complexities of modern life. The piece will soon find its home at Smoke Point along the Clyde River foreshore.
Together, the festival and Sculpture Walk continue to enrich the cultural life of the region, turning a simple stroll along the waterfront into an inspiring journey through creativity, imagination and community spirit.
